1. How do I access the ULMC catalog?

You can access the ULMC catalog through the online version on http://iugb.mlasolutions.com/oasis/catalog/(S(f2wyms45erzycc452kxx04np))/Default.aspx?installation=Default

Or through the OPAC on the library work stations (for onsite use only).

 

2. How can I find a book in the library?

You can find a book by searching in the ULMC catalog with the Authors (Daniel Steel, Harlan Coben) or the subjects (calculus, philosophy, politics) and the book (Digital fortress, An easy burden). Our books are labeled with the Library of Congress decimal like E840.8.Y64A3 1996 for the book “An easy burden” written by Andrew Young.

 

3. How to access the library work station?

You will your mail ID and LAn password provided by the IT department to access the library work stations. The work stations are using Windows XP or Windows 8.1 with Microsoft 2007 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).

 

4. How to print a document?

You are able to print from all the library work stations to the library printer in black and white by opening your document and clicking on CTRL + P and choosing the printer Library printer or Workcenter.

 

5. How to reserve the conference room?

There is a conference room located in the library not used every time in the academic calendar. You, as a faculty or staff or group of students, can reserve the room for meeting or group work by sending a mail to library@iugb.edu.ci or calling our extension on 114 at least 2 days before for the availability.

 

6. How long can I keep a library book?

You can borrow a book for 2 weeks and renew it once in a semester. Faculty can keep the book for only one semester with the possibility to renew it.

Also, a faculty can place a resource on reserve in the library to be use for short time only in the library by students.

 

7. Who to contact if I have a problem with a work station in the library?

For any problem on the work station, please contact the Help desk in charge at the time. Please, do not try to move any material like mouse or keyboard or CPU or cable to its original place.

 

8. How to cite my work?

You can use:

–          The APA style (http://www.apastyle.org/ or http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/)

–          The MLA style (http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/search.php)
