Access to e-library services

As a very young institution, IUGB is currently in the early stages of building its library collection and other services. In the meantime, because of the demands of a high quality curriculum, which enables students to transfer to Georgia State University and other U.S. institutions, no effort is spared in procuring the type of materials that foster a culture of independent research amongst our students, from their very first year in the university. In that regard, providing good and reliable access to electronic library services, including e-libraries and e-books, is a high priority for IUGB. We have access to Agora, Hinari, Jstor, American Institute of Physics, American Physical Society APS, Annual Reviews, Edinburgh University Press, Geological Society, IMF e-Library, Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Digital Library, IOP Publishing, NPG – Nature, NPG – Palgrave Macmillan Journals, Policy Press Journals, University of Chicago Journals.

These resources also make it possible for the library to provide some essential resources for faculty research and teaching.

Other important services include:

  • Reference books
  • A growing reference collection
  • Reserve books
  • Special collections for class needs
  • Printer and scanner document
  • Computer stations connected to the net for patrons
  • A help desk for patrons in the library
  • A camera for projects
