U.S.A. Office

In January 2012, IUGB opened an office in Atlanta, Georgia USA to represent and promote the interests of the University and in December 2013 the U.S. Based IUGB Foundation received it 50(c)(3) tax exempt status.

The USA Office and the IUGB Foundation are leading IUGB efforts to build a constituency of U.S. and international supporters of IUGB. This will include IUGB/GSU graduates; friends of IUGB resident in the U.S. or other countries who have affinity towards Cote d’Ivoire/IUGB; and those generally interested in supporting higher education in Africa to contribute to African development.

The U.S. Office and Foundation also engage the corporate community, especially those U.S. based corporations in Côte d’Ivoire to encourage their support for IUGB.

  • Exploring new partnership opportunities with U.S. and other higher education institutions of shared values and mutual interests.
  • Outreach to U.S. and international foundations that support international education to introduce them to IUGB and to help the University pursue potential higher education grant opportunities.
  • Engaging the U.S. and international donor community to identify competitive and other funding opportunities and assist with the preparation of responses to formal solicitations.
  • Advising IUGB on evolving relevant trends and policies in higher education that may have implications for the University.
  • Representing IUGB at such international conferences, association gatherings and other events deemed to be beneficial to the University.
