IUGB Welcomes New Faculty

IUGB is pleased to introduce its truly international corps of new faculty.  This is a group of highly accomplished individuals recruited from the United States, Canada, Europe and Cote d’Ivoire. In preparation for the start of the 2013/2014 academic year and to meet the demands arising from our substantially expanded offerings, including courses leading to the new IUGB degree, 9 new professors were hired over the “summer” (May – August) to cover the following disciplines:

  • Accounting International Relations
    Chemistry/Biochemistry Mathematics
    Computer Science Political Science
    Economics Sociology/Social Sciences
    International Business

 

Summaries of their qualifications and experience are provided below.

Dr. Antoine Atinkpahoun, B.Sc. Mathematics, (Université des Sciences et Techologies du Bénin), M.A. Computer Science, (City University of New York), Ph.D. Computer Science (CUNY), Ph.D.  Applied Geology (doctorat 3eme cycle, University of Bordeaux).Dr. Atinkpahoun joins us from New York. He has taught Earth Science, General Science and Mathematics in the New York State School system for many years and has also previously served as Mathematics Coordinator at the State University of New York’s Purchase College. His most immediate past position was with the NY State Education Department as “Mathematics Specialist” and concurrently as an Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York, teaching Mathematics and Computer Programming. His publications span his three main areas of expertise, Geology, Mathematics and Computer Science.At IUGB, Dr. Atinkpahoun will teach mainly Mathematics and some Computer Science courses.
Dr. Andre Bayomock, Eng. Electromechanical École Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé, Cameroon), M.S. Computer Science, PhD, Computer Engineering (École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada), M.S.Production Management, (Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tarbes, France).Dr. Andre Bayomock brings many years of teaching experience consulting services, mostly in Canada. He has taught network engineering, mobile applications and software engineering at the École Polytechnique de  Montréal and advanced programming language at the École de Technologie Supérieure de Montréal. He has provided services as a software consultant in various industries, including Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, and Healthcare, as well as providing services to a number of Canadian government departments. His teaching responsibilities at IUGB will draw largely from his areas of research interest, which include mobile applications and networks, business intelligence, web services, database and security.
Dr. Martine Audéoud, M.Ed. (Open University, UK), M.Ph. Missiology (New Covenant International University).  Ph.D. School Administration and Supervision (Berne University, Switzerland) D.Min.in Transformational Leadership (Bakke Graduate University, USA).Dr. Audéoud has been a part-time faculty member at IUGB for four years, teaching a range of Social Science courses, specifically, Sociology, Psychology, Ethics and Business Ethics, World Religions, and more. While teaching part-time at IUGB, she was also Associate Director of the Department of Holistic Development of the Faculté de Théologie Évangélique de l’Alliance Chrétienne (FATEAC) in Abidjan, supervising their two master’s programs (community health and transformational leadership) as well as their doctoral program in     Transformational Leadership. She is also a member of the Board of Regents at Bakke Graduate University (U.S.A.) where she supervises doctoral dissertations as well. At IUGB, Dr. Audéoud will teach Sociology, Psychology, Ethics, and World Religions.
Dr. Frederic Bogui, B.S. Accounting (Oakwood  College, USA), MPA Public Finance, Ph.D.Public Administration (Rutgers University, USA).Dr. Bogui teaches Accounting and Public Sector Finance.  He has previously taught at a number of US universities, where he has been the recipient of several teaching awards. He is the author of several journal articles and a textbook on Public Sector Finance and has been guest speaker at several key conferences.  He has used his broad and extensive knowledge and experience to provide consulting services in internal control systems and  audit procedures.  Dr. Bogui is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  His areas of research interest include financial accounting, governmental accounting and public-private sector partnerships.
Dr. Nathaniel Cogley, B.A. International Relations (San Francisco State University), M.A. Political Science (Yale University), M. Phil., Ph.D. Political Science (Yale University).Dr. Cogley joins us from Yale University in New Haven, CT where he received his Ph.D. in Political Science.  Originally from California, Dr. Cogley’s areas of expertise include International Relations, Comparative Politics, African Politics, and American Politics.  He has lived in, traveled to, or conducted research in 26 African countries and has interviewed ten current and former African Heads of Government.  In addition to teaching Political Science and International Relations courses at IUGB, Dr. Cogley will continue work on his first book project and second documentary film.
Dr. Lyn S. Graybill, B.A. Religious Studies, (The College of William & Mary), M.A. Foreign Affairs, (University of Virginia), Ph.D. Foreign Affairs (University of Virginia). Dr. Graybill of Atlanta, Georgia has taught for over twenty years in both Virginia and Georgia, including at the University of Virginia and Georgia Institute of Technology. She also taught the honors Political Science students at Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone in 2009-2010 as a Fulbright scholar. She is the author of two books on political processes in South Africa with a third book on religion, tradition and reconciliation in Sierra Leone under review by a major university press.  She has published extensively in scholarly journals on peacemaking, gender, and human rights. She teaches in the areas of Political Science, International Relations, African Politics, Comparative Politics and Human Rights.
Macit Koc , B.S. Business Admin. (U. of Missouri – Saint Louis, USA), MBA (Webster Univ. USA)Prof. Koc, who joins us from Albania (Europe) has previously held various positions in the private sector, mainly in the United States. He has traveled widely in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. While serving as a faculty member and program director at Yasar University in Izmir, Turkey, he was also a “Scholar” in Europe’s very important Erasmus Program, teaching short-term courses in Lithuania and the Czech Republic. He later had faculty appointments at the College of Applied Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman, the University of New York in Tirana (UNYT), and Canadian Institute of Technology in Albania, while simultaneously maintaining his work as an international sales consultant.  His research interests focus on Sport Sponsorship and Sports Marketing. He is in the final stages of doctoral dissertation in the Faculty of Economics and Management at Tomas Bata University, Czech Republic.Marketing and International Business will be his main areas of teaching at IUGB.
Dr. Ghislaine Ehora, Lic. de Chimie générale, Maitrise de Chimie, Option: Matériaux l’Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille, France (USTL), Doctorat de chimie des matériaux dans l’Unité de Catalyse et de chimie du Solide. Mention: Très honorable avec felicitation du Jury.Dr. Ehora who had all her university education at the University of Science and Technology in Lille, France, from which she also obtained her Ph.D. with honorable mention is a highly accomplished scientist in the field of Material Science. On completing her doctoral studies in France, she secured a post-doctoral research fellowship in Denmark, where she spent three years before returning to work in various commercial and research environments in France. Her background and experience makes her very comfortable teaching either Physics or Chemistry. Her teaching at IUGB will therefore be in the Physical Sciences and cognate disciplines. She has published in highly ranked journals on topics that include electrochemistry and elucidating the micro-structure of certain minerals and heavy metals.
Dr. Bosson Brou, B.Sc. Industrial and Environmental Economics (University of Cocody), M.A. “Diplome d’Etudes Approfondies” Econometrics, Ph.D.Economics (University of Cocody).Both the Master’s degree and the Ph.D. were earned through a special regional cooperation program in which researchers from several countries work together to investigate real-life problems. Dr. Brou has been an adjunct faculty member at IUGB for the last three years, while also a teaching fellow at the University of Cocody. With his strong quantitative background, he has taught Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Methods and Economics. In this new assignment, his teaching focus will be Economics and Quantitative Research Methods. His research interest is broadly in the area of panel data econometrics, in which he has already published several papers.
