As a U.S. Department of State English Language Fellow at IUGB, Elaine Kerry is delighted to be joining the University Preparatory Program for this academic year.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Elaine earned her BA (hons) degree in Combined Studies/Liberal Arts at the University of Manchester, UK, and an MA in Writing from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA.
As a certified TEFL educator, she has worked in education in several international settings including Singapore as an Education Consultant and most recently in Rwanda where she worked as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer training teachers and helping to build the English capacity of secondary level students.
A published novelist, her particular interests include working with learners on finding their voice with the written word.
She looks forward to teaching courses in Writing, Reading and Oral Communications at IUGB and facilitating various university/community projects in conjunction with the US Embassy in Abidjan.
