Walougol Association (meaning “aid” in Peuhle language) donated 200 masks to the International University of Grand-Bassam (IUGB) on Wednesday May 27, 2020 in the Abidjan office. This is the initiative of two IUGB alumni, Belko Diallo and Ismael Coulibaly, members of this association.

In his welcoming address, the VPCOO Mr. Samuel KOFFI, on behalf of President Saliou Touré, welcomed this donation from the association.

The VPAA also saluted this humanitarian gesture. He was delighted with this “philanthropic culture” demonstrated by the alumni. “It is important to retrace your steps to benefit the community that gave you the knowledge,” he said.

Belko Diallo, in charge of the association’s marketing and partnership, said that it is with great pride that this action was undertaken and that this donation is to help the IUGB with safety measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Walougol is a charity association created in 2017. It carries out several social actions including “Giving day” which consists in providing food kits to children from under-privileged backgrounds. The association targets disadvantaged social strata such as children from poor families, orphans, mothers of low-income families etc.
