We are delighted to announce our Foundation’s first Advisory Board Members Keith E. Brown, Cherise Y. Peters, and Vanessa Prempeh. Our newly formed Advisory Board is a social and networking- focused group providing support in strategy, networking, and serving as our ambassadors as the face of IUGB. We are grateful for the valuable assistance and collaboration of our Advisory Board to increase resources for IUGB and its students and their families!
Keith E. Brown previously served as an IUGB Board Member. Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Lincoln University in Pennsylvania (1973), a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Southern California (1975), and is a graduate of the prestigious Department of State Senior Seminar (1995). He served a distinguished 29-year career with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) where he held the highest career rank in the Foreign Service as Career Minister and served as the Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Africa. He joined the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) in 2004 as Executive Vice-President for Africa Programs, and became its President and Chief Executive Officer in 2009. He led JGI efforts to successfully double its resource base, pioneer the integration of conservation and land-use planning in community-centered landscape-scale conservation initiatives and revitalize the famous Jane Goodall Gombe Research Center in Tanzania.
Cherise Y. Peters Ms. Peters is pursuing her PhD in Research, Measurements, and Statistics at Georgia State University. She holds a Masters in Human Resources Management, from Keller Graduate School, a Certificate in Management Leadership Education from Harvard University, and a Bachelor in Business Administration from Fort Lauderdale University. Cherise is a senior level education administrator with 36 years of experience in Higher Education in multiple disciplines, and held positions at higher educational institutions in Alabama, Georgia, and Washington, D.C. Currently she is CEO and Principle Consultant for Peters Principle, LLC. Cherise worked with IUGB over ten years ago as an administrator team member at Georgia State University charged with advising and guiding the university leadership in its development of student services
Vanessa Prempeh holds a a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Maryland and a Masters of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Clark Atlanta University. Ms. Prempeh has worked throughout Africa and the Caribbean. Ms. Prempeh worked as a marketing assistant with IBM and has led Goodworks International, LLC for over twelve years as Vice President. At Goodworks International, she is team lead for professionals in law, finance, business marketing and development, information technology and government relations consulting. Vanessa has worked in a variety of markets, which makes her one of the foremost consultants in the industry.
