Finding a way to make your dreams come true today takes hard work – especially for young girls like Adjoba in Côte d’Ivoire. Here’s her story – in her own words.

“I was born the youngest of 7 children. And I have always been a determined person and that’s why!” she begins.

“So, I decided to sit for my exams early – in 11th grade – before the end of high school. And, I succeeded. This meant I had a decision to make – to study elsewhere or study here in my home of Côte d’Ivoire.”

There’s something very important about Adjoba’s determination and her ultimate decision – something you can become part of making happen for other young women and men like Adjoba.

“I decided to stay in my country in order to understand better our realities and the needs of the population. I want to devote my life and career to help build my country through economic and social policies that will be beneficial to the people.”

It’s this kind of vision for the real lives of people in Côte d’Ivoire – especially for those eager to find a new, better future of equality and opportunity – that is so remarkable. When someone gifted like Adjoba finds the opportunity to study with an internationally accredited University in her own country among her own people, lives are changed.

“I believe that I can make a change. I believe I can be the change. And the opportunity I had to get a good quality education at the International University of Grand-Bassam made my decision to stay the best one.”

Adjoba’s combination of commitment and talent became a reality when the generosity of someone like you made her scholarship possible.

Are you impressed by Adjoba’s story? I hope so.

Now, are you ready to make this opportunity possible for young women and men like her – and change what’s possible in Côte d’Ivoire and beyond today?
