As part of the Presidential Internship Program (PiP), Two competitively-selected IUGB graduates are carrying out remunerated internships at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (AUI), Morocco. They will be working for one academic year (10 months). These are:

  • Sarah Samira BAMBA, Bachelor of Business Administration, Class of 2022 (Left photo)
  • Mariam Yasmine N’DIAYE, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Class of 2022 (Right photo)

The two graduates are enjoying their time there and have declared: “We reached Ifrane on Saturday, September 3rd, and, we thank God, everything is starting great. We met very welcoming people who made all effort to provide us the best quality services and help. Having a background from IUGB is an asset as it prepared us very well for this experience”.

Established in 1995, AUI is a public American-style University accredited by the New England Commission on Higher Education in the US. The University is one of the strongest partners of IUGB and is also member of the Global Liberal Arts Alliance.

Established in 2016, the PiP provides recent graduates of US-type Liberal Arts colleges and universities outside Morocco with the opportunity to work in a university setting while learning about and experiencing the cultures and languages of Morocco. The Presidential Interns will bring their experience and insight to various units and thus contribute to the reinforcement of internationalization and the Liberal Arts system at AUI.  The Program enables Interns to gain and further develop interpersonal and office-related skills that enrich them and help prepare them for next steps in their academic, professional and personal lives.
