Georges Gnakpa is Assistant Professor of English and History at International University of Grand Bassam since 2014. He holds a PhD in contemporary Francophone literature from the University of Connecticut and has taught at various universities in the US including St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY, Elon University, Elon, NC, Bennington College, Bennington, VT, and locally at Université HB Cocody as lecturer in English for the UNESCO Chair of Peace Studies. His research interests encompass History, education, and Literature. He has published Du Féminisme dans la Poésie Ivoirienne in 2010. Georges Gnakpa joined IUGB in 2014 where he chairs the university’s Academic Council since 2017.
