From September 2018, Dr. Koné Mamadou Tadiou is Assistant Professor in the school of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at the International University of Grand Bassam. He previously worked for several years as a research scientist in Montreal, Québec, Canada and Boston, MA, USA. From June 2002 to May 2007, he was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Department of computer science and engineering, Université Laval, Québec. From April 1990 to June 2002, Dr. Koné worked successively at Panasonic Tokyo Information and Communications Research Laboratory and the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) as a Research Associate.
Before his industrial career, he received a “Licence de mathématiques“at the National University of Côte d’Ivoire in 1985; a Master of Science degree in Mathematical and Computing Science at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (TIT), Japan in March 1990, then and a Ph.D at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in 2000. Currently, Dr. Koné is involved in research on software agents’ technology, the semantic Web, eGovernment and eCommerce with their applications to a wide range of fields. He is editor of four books and contributed several articles to international workshops, conferences, book chapters and journals. In particular, he was the principal organizer of the first semantic Web symposium in Canada in June 2006.
