Miss WANDO, Mbwaya Marie Grace

IUGB CLASS OF 2018

“When you believe, you can make a difference. It is always a miracle when you walk with God.” I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics. I am passionate about education and want to empower young Africans through education and entrepreneurship.

My years at IUGB have prepared me well. I have learned how to embrace change, how to be resilient, and how to deal with challenges and thrive. I have been a member of different clubs, including the Business Club and the Speech Club.

Always ready to learn, I am committed, focused, but easy going. I am always ready to share my knowledge when I learn new things. You do not know what you are capable of until you are tested. I learned this after a two-month internship at the petroleum company, “Services des Entreprises Pétrolières” du Congo (SEP Congo). I gained practical experience and successfully impressed my superiors through my ability to learn quickly, to work easily with colleagues and to be committed.

I am looking forward to helping Africa by empowering the next generation. I have learned that “a transformational leader needs to know that change has to happen on the inside before it can be manifested on the outside. You cannot give what you do not have.” And when you believe, you can make a difference. I know I can make a difference.
